# Reading, Discovery and Interaction on the Blog

> Explore the BlogLoom reader experience, from the home page and search to long-form posts, comments and moments.

The public blog is organized around three reader needs: finding useful content, reading posts comfortably, and connecting with the author and other readers.

## Find posts by topic, series or date

The home page can show posts by latest publication or view count. Readers can browse categories and tags, follow a column to read a series in order, or revisit posts by month in the archive. In-site search shows matching posts with keyword snippets and a clear empty state when nothing matches.

Post cards show a cover, title, summary, publication time, view count, category and tags so readers can quickly decide what to open.

## Make long-form posts easier to read

Post pages render common Markdown elements and show post details and reading time. Longer posts get a table of contents for section jumps; the current section is highlighted while scrolling. Code blocks have syntax highlighting, and inline images open in a larger viewer.

Authors can protect a post with an access password. Focus mode hides side recommendations and the profile card so the body takes center stage. The layout adapts to desktop, tablet and phone screens.

## Keep the conversation going

Readers can comment on posts and reply to other comments. The Moments page offers short updates and likes, while posts can enable an appreciation entry. The profile card, social links, custom sidebar module, About page and Friends page give readers more ways to learn about the author and site.
